Scheduled weekend

The perfect rest schedule

When we decide to relax to the fullest, our rest immediately gets a strict schedule. A step sideways equals failure 🫠

Watercolor: a desk lamp with warm light, an open book with no text, and a cup of coffee on a windowsill nearby.

Sometimes the desire to spend Sunday perfectly turns into an actual management task. You plan a slow breakfast, a walk in the park, reading a book, and an evening watching a movie, with everything scheduled by the hour. In the end, the family members who woke up an hour late and ruined the breakfast timeline receive a reprimand, as if they disrupted an equipment delivery to a factory 🏭

πŸŒ™ Early in the morning, the Moon exchanges glances with Jupiter. In astrology, Jupiter is associated with generosity and expansion, so this contact shows up nicely: the first half of the day promises calm and a desire to treat yourself to fresh pastries. Unfortunately, it is exactly onto this background that we impose our grandiose plans for proper relaxation.

By late afternoon, the Moon meets Mars, adding rush and irritation to the atmosphere. This is where it turns out that half the items on the plan are not done, the book is unopened, and the weekend is relentlessly coming to an end. The tension rises, and the frustration predictably goes to whoever gets in the way.

Actually, truly high-quality rest happens exactly in those moments when there is no pre-approved schedule at all ✨ Allowing the morning to be unhurried and lazy, and the day to go completely off plan, is much more beneficial than fulfilling relaxation quotas with a heroic effort. And of course, that untouched thick book can be left until next weekend with a clear conscienceβ€”it won't get any worse.

Fulfilling relaxation quotas is more exhausting than work.
