Shopping Tuesday
A Notebook as a Solution
The most pleasant way to tackle a difficult project is to buy a dedicated notebook for it. It feels like along with the paper, we are purchasing discipline π¦

When a task looks intimidatingly huge, the brain looks for workarounds. We walk into a stationery store or download a new paid app, hoping the right tool will do the work for us. The blank pages of a new planner look so convincing that at the checkout counter you feel like someone who has already finished half the project.
π Tuesday brings no abrupt shifts, and it is only by late afternoon that the Moon exchanges glances with Jupiter. In astrology, Jupiter is associated with scale, so the contact shows up predictably: you want to go big and buy not just one pen, but a whole massive set. By mid-evening, Venus meets up with Pluto, adding a slight stubbornness to this urge.
In the end, a stack of pretty index cards, markers in three colors, and a binder with tab dividers appear on your desk π Unfortunately, the project itself does not budge a single inch. The magic of a fresh notebook works exactly until the first written line, after which it becomes just another object.
Stopping yourself from buying these innocent stationery trifles is, actually, pointless, because a beautiful workspace aesthetic matters too β¨ But it is always worth remembering that even the most expensive leather organizer cannot fill its own pages. Sometimes an old pencil stub and the back of a grocery receipt work just as well, if you just pick them up and start doing the work.
