Monday Meeting
The Monday Volunteer
At the Monday meeting your hand goes up before you've heard the task, and by lunch your list has four new items marked “I'll take it” 🙋

Your manager says “we need someone to sort out the partner presentation,” a pause hangs in the meeting room, long enough to hear the projector hum, and your voice, from somewhere off to the side, says “I can do it.” Next comes the reporting spreadsheet nobody has touched since spring, plus the office party, because “you did such a great job last year,” and by mid-morning you're a person with a notebook full of other people's tasks and a very straight back ✍️
🌘 Overnight the Moon moved into Leo, and right as the meeting begins she meets Mars — a conjunction. In astrology Mars handles drive and the urge to jump in, Leo likes everyone to see it, and together they show up plainly: you want to take the task with style, in front of everyone, with a casual “no problem.”
Your inner Boy Scout is a good person, only bad at math: their day has thirty hours, weekends stretch, and the words “I'll handle it” weigh as much as a feather. By lunch the first email arrives “regarding your task,” and it turns out the partner presentation is actually forty slides and due Wednesday.
Later in the evening the Moon gets along with Saturn, and over dinner comes a moment of quiet arithmetic: four tasks, four working days until Friday and an office party that, for some reason, is now also yours. The email “about the presentation: I can do Friday, Wednesday won't work” is surprisingly easy to write, and the reply usually comes in one word: “ok” 🙂

A Pause Before “I'll Take It”
When someone asks you to take something on today, answer “I'll get back to you before lunch” and check your calendar in the meantime ⏱ You can still say yes later, knowing where it fits.
