Thursday at the Register
Why Is the Receipt So Long?
Today the Moon in Virgo makes you want to double-check everything, and the total at the register can easily look like a mistake: the basket seems to hold just bread and milk, yet the receipt comes out as long as your arm 🧾

🌘 The Moon spends the whole day in Virgo and keeps waning: about six percent of her is left by midday, the new Moon is two days off, and days like these rarely leave energy for big audits. Virgo, meanwhile, is a picky sign that cares about every detail, so you're unlikely to feel like reviewing the family budget this Thursday, while a single price on the receipt may soak up every last bit of attention.
And so this Thursday there's a strong temptation to double-check every line on the receipt: what if they overcharged? For some reason you don't want to step away from the register, it feels as if justice must be restored right here, before the cashier moves on to the next customer and while you still remember what was in the basket, so there's a good chance you'll linger by the gum rack, slowly running a finger down the lines as other people's bags rustle behind you 🛒
Most likely the double-check won't turn up anything: the cheese really costs that much, you tossed in the chocolate bar yourself while waiting in line, and the bag was always on there, it's just that nobody ever noticed its price before. The most annoying part is that in the end there's no one to be angry at: all the extra comes from purchases filed under one heading, "while I'm here" 🫠
